Family: Pomacentridae

Distribution: Caribbean

We have recorded sounds for this species associated with interspecific agonistic interactions, usually a single pulse coinciding with rapid movement. We have also recorded distinct multipulsed sounds, often produced with a diving motion, suggesting possible territorial/mating behaviors, as well as grazing sounds.

Subtle and low frequency sounds may require headphones to hear.
